Sinaloa. He is currently based in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora. His songs have been recorded by a wide array of artists including Julión Alvarez, Los Bohemios de Sinaloa, Los Nuevos Rebeldes, Banda MS, Raúl Hernández, and Los Buitres y Alfredito Olivas, to name a few. Caro formed his first band at 13, and at 16 began playing family events and regional gatherings. He gave up music for a time to attend college, where he received a degree in business administration. After graduating, he worked briefly, but his grandfather intervened and encouraged him to pursue music as a career.
Caro's initial break came after vocalist and cousin Gerardo Ortíz recorded a couple of his songs and brought him to the attention of Mexico's Del Records. The label signed him to a recording and publishing deal. Música Polvora y Sangre, his debut offering, appeared in 2011 to rave reviews and respectable chart success. Caro's alternative approach to writing gave his norteño and banda tunes irresistible hooks and unusual tuba lines. His 2012 follow-up, Amor en Tiempos de Guerra, received massive radio airplay and chart recognition. In August of 2013, he released his third album, Especialista, which hit the Top 40 in the Top Latin albums chart. By contrast, Senzu Rah, issued a year, later hit number two and placed in the Top 100 pop albums charts. The record eventually went gold and was nominated for a Latin Grammy. Del issued two compilation volumes, My Guitarra y Yo, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, to keep the heat on while Carotoured. In February of 2016, he released the single "CicatrIIIces." It placed well inside the Top Ten of the Hot Latin Songs and digital charts. The full-length album En Estos Dias followed in the fall.
Sinaloan singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Adriel Favela is a Mexican regional artist specializing in norteño and corridos. Having played music throughout his youth, he began posting videos to YouTube where he came to the attention of ICON/EBO Music. He recorded his first album, Favela oor Odor, at the age of 18. He signed to Gerencia Music 360 in 2014 and released his sophomore album,Mujeres Tu Tipo in 2014, and placed two singles -- "Es Tiempo de Guerra" and the title track on the Mexican Regional charts. In July of 2015, he issued the pre-release single "Te Acuerdas de Tu Amiga," which placed higher than either of his previous two. It remained on the charts for 11 weeks; likewise his third album, Tomen Notaissued a few weeks later, also placed well and had staying power. In July, Favela appeared on Univision's Sabado Gigante and was reunited with his mother. She had crossed the northern border into the United States when he was a boy and he'd been raised by his father.
